When should I claim on Pet Protect Insurance?

Before claiming on your pet insurer, you should always check what situations are covered by your insurance plan. Pet insurance claims concern in most cases vet fees, but not only. Death by accident or illness can also be included in some pet insurance deals, for which claims can be made. How to claim on Pet Protect?

The are several steps to be taken to claim on your Pet Protect pet insurance :

• Fill in the form (using the download template that you will find above)
• The second part it to be completed by your vet, with details concerning the treatment that received you pet
• Double-check that you have signed and dated the claim form, both you and your vet

Along with your Pet Protect Claim Form, you'll also have to send the following documents:

• Any invoice or receipt that proves the amount you are claiming
• Your pet's comprehensive medical history (up to date if possible)
• A copy of the records of your pet's vaccination
• Please note that every document you submit to Pet Protect has to be stamped by your vet

What to do if my claim is rejected?

If your claim is rejected, you can always contact the Financial Ombudsman Service (0300 123 9123). You have to take action within a 6 months period - starting the date you received a negative answer for your claim.
