Scratch and Patch provides pet insurance for cats and dogs, and says it aims to make the process as straightforward as possible and its insurance policies are underwritten by HDI Global Specialty SE.
It provides eight levels of insurance, at different prices.
Premier Plus includes up to £8,000 per year for vet fees (which includes £1,000 for alternative medicine; £2,000 for cruciate ligament; £2,000 for MRI or CT scan; £8,000 for dental treatment caused by accident or injury; £100 for diet food and £500 for behavioural treatment).
Premier includes up to £4,000 per year for vet fees (which includes £750 for alternative medicine; £1,500 for cruciate ligament; £1,500 for MRI or CT scan; £4,000 for dental treatment caused by accident or injury; £100 for diet food and £250 for behavioural treatment).
Gold includes up to £4,000 for vet fees per injury/illness (this includes £400 for alternative medicine; £1,000 for cruciate ligament; £1,000 for MRI or CT scan; £4,000 for dental treatment caused by accident or injury and £100 for diet food).
Silver includes up to £3,000 for vet fees per injury/illness (this includes £300 for alternative medicine; £500 for cruciate ligament; £500 for MRI or CT scan; £3,000 for dental treatment caused by accident or injury and £100 for diet food).
Bronze includes up to £2,250 for vet fees per accident (this includes £250 for alternative medicine; £500 for cruciate ligament and £250 for dental treatment caused by accident or injury)
Scratch and Patch also offers what is known as Champ products which have a 5 star Defaqto rating and are a set of policies that may cover pre-existing conditions. They come with either £2.5k, £4k or £8k of Lifetime pet cover.
