How to claim on Animal Friends?
Animal Friends Pet Insurance receives claims for dogs, cats, horses and horse riders. You should always prepare yourself to show evidences in order to justify the reimbursement claimed. You can claim by phone on your Animal Friends pet insurance calling the claims helpline at the following number : 0344 557 0300 (Monday – Friday: 08:30 – 18:00 and Saturday: 09:00 – 16:00).
Claim on Animal Friend by post
The Animal Friend pet insurance claim forms on paper version should be sent by post at the following address:
Animal Friends Insurance Services Ltd. Number 1 The Crescent, Sunrise Way, Amesbury, Wiltshire, SP4 7QA, along with the evidences you would like to show to your insurer.

You should as well provide your insurer an invoice / receipt of the treatment for which claim for.
How long for my pet insurance claim to be treated?
Usually, in normal circumstances, Animal Friends commits to treat the claims it receives within 5 to 7 working days - when the claim is complete, with all the requested documentation.
Do Animal Friends charge co-payment for old pets?
Yes, Animal Friends will ask you for co-payment in case:
- Your dog is 8 or more
- Your cat is 10 or more
This co-payment is due when you claim for vet fees, and is usually discounted as 20% of the amount of those vet fees. In addition, you have to bear in mind that your premiums will go up whilst your pet(s) will go older.
Will Covid-19 affect my claim treatment?
There will be no impact of the Covid-19 on your claim's treatment by Animal Friends. The only thing is that now, the delay to make your claim is longer. Before, you had to submit your Animal Friends claim form within 90 days after your pet had received the treatment, no you can go passed this limit due to the exceptional circumstances.
What to do if my claim is rejected by Animal Friends?
If your claim is rejected, you can always contact the Financial Ombudsman Service (0300 123 9123). You have to take action within a 6 months period - starting the date you received a negative answer for your claim.
What with my ongoing claims on Animal Friends if my pet dies?
Your Animal Friends pet insurance plan will stop the month after you report the death of your pet to the Animal Friends services. However, the death of your pet will not affect ongoing due refunds to be given by Animal Friends for claims made before.
