Eligibility depends on age: dogs up to 8 years old (some breeds up to 5), and cats up to 10 years old at the start of the policy. Rabbits must be under 5 years old for new cover.
Which conditions and treatments are not covered by Argos policies?
Argos excludes pre-existing or recurring health issues present before cover begins, as well as routine or preventative care such as vaccinations, worming, neutering, and dental care that isn't vet-recommended due to illness or accident. Cosmetic procedures, obesity-related costs, and treatments avoidable by vaccination are also not covered.
Are the premiums fixed, and do they increase over time?
Premiums are reviewed annually and can rise as your pet ages, if you make claims, or as veterinary costs increase. Many customers report increases year on year, especially after claims or as pets get older, so it’s important to budget for potential changes when renewing your policy.
